Marta’s story

31st December 2022 - today is the day to look back and take stock of the past year.

Early 2022, I noticed that my wellbeing was jeopardised due to various life reasons.

In March 2022, I decided to take action and started training and nutrition coaching with Maureen.

During the past 9 months, Maureen has supported me to make lifestyle changes that I have successfully implemented and will stay with me.

To list few of them: I've created a habit of working out regularly, both strength and cardio training, no matter where I am... and having fun with it!

In March 2022, I thought I could not run and that it was not a sport for me. I could barely run 1 min... Now I can run up to 50 min and cannot stop looking for popular races to participate as I'm loving it!

I became more conscious of my nutrition habits, being able to make choices and find the right balance to enjoy that glass of wine you want to have with your family or a piece of cake you want to enjoy with your friends, as two examples.
- 15 kilos lost! And most importantly, stabilised for a few months!
- more confidence in myself.
I met a fantastic community of like-minded women with whom we celebrate our achievements together!

I cannot be happier that I took the decision to work with Maureen. What a great investment in my health

“After putting myself last for a number of years I was put in touch with Maureen through a mutual friend. Since relocating from the UK, she has well and truly become a part of my new life in Amsterdam.

She has not only pushed me physically but has also influenced my diet in such a healthy way that I have lost more than 20kg.

I heard about Maureen from an old friend and although I live in Munich and Maureen is in Amsterdam, she offered flexible online training. I have a shoulder injury that requires an operation and Maureen put together a programme just for me and it was fantastic. In just a few short weeks, I lost weight, felt great and was eating better. "Hi, I'm Pauline, 38, and I have two young kids. Before working with Maureen, I had plenty of digestion issues. I often felt tired and irritated, I didn't feel strong anymore, lost most of my love for my body, and didn't fit in any of my clothes!

I had three main doubts before deciding to follow Maureen's program:

  • I was worried I wouldn't be able to find the time for the workouts

  • I wasn't sure I would be able to adapt my new diet to my family meals

  • I was worried about spending a consequent amount of our family money on such a personal thing

My experience working with Maureen has been more than positive. She understands how family life is, helped me organise myself, and showed flexibility (but not too much!), so I learn to find the time for my workouts (I never missed one in 12 weeks!)

In terms of nutrition, I learned a lot! She helped me slowly but surely pick up micro habits I will keep forever. At the end of the program, I didn't feel like I would get back to my old bad habits. All these learnings are just part of how I live from now on - a healthier version for my whole family and me. That doesn't mean we don't have pizza nights or burger nights!

Last but not least, this is one of my best investments. Investing in my health positively affected every other aspect of my life. I only wish I had done it sooner!

Since the end of the program, these are some of the things I have noticed:

  • I've gained confidence, positive energy, and love for my body.

  • I lost 6 kilos, but really I don't care about this number because I just feel comfortable and strong.

  • I had the first summer in a while where I wasn't self-conscious about my appearance. I had fun and didn't even think about my body.

  • I've found true joy in exercising again.

  • I've been able to rediscover all my clothes!

Maureen is a sunny person, she's also passionate and very knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to spend time with her and the other women on the program!"
